Six Degrees of Separation

Six Degrees of Separation

Six degrees of separation is what they claim exists between every person in the world. That you can pick any two people in the world and connect them in just six steps. However, coincidences can, and indeed do, occur - and one such occasion was at the last Burnt Food.

Person A is a friend of mine. She's an American, now living in Paris with her two children. This was the first time she'd been to a Burnt event, and she chose this particular one because she wanted to bring a friend visiting from out of town.

Person B lives in Tennassee and contacted me through Facebook asking for the next Burnt dates. She told me she would like to bring a +1, somebody she'd met the last time she was in Paris: Person C.

Person C didn't even know of Burnt Food until just 10 days before the event, when Person B invited her.

As it turned out, Person A and Person C are related. Person C, as a kid, used to play with Person A's cousins. They had never met before and nobody in their families had put the two and two together, realising that they had both married Frenchmen and moved to Paris. They still wouldn't have known - if they hadn't have come to Burnt Food. Now that's what I call a story!
