Croissant Competition: Part Four

After last night's dinner party, I'm feeling a little bit slow this morning. After the food had been consumed, we then set about trying to drink up what's left in my alcohol corner... and then one thing led to another, and before we knew it, it was 4am, the table and chairs had been pushed back and the Mexican contingent were putting the rest of us through our salsa-steps!
Despite all that, I was up bright and early this morning and ready to head out to taste the next croissant. 
Not wanting a repeat of yesterday's hill challenge, I decided to pop across to my local boulangerie, one in the Banette chain that you can find all over Paris, and get croissant number four from there. 

As it happened, I had timed my visit perfectly! The "madame" was just bringing another batch of heavenly-smelling, golden pastries out of the oven. I parted with my money and out I came, happily clutching this little bag.
Actually, I owe you, my readers, a little apology because I have very little will-power today. What the madame was bringing out of the oven were in fact pain au chocolats, not croissants, but they smelt so good that my mouth was saying "pain au chocolat, s'il vous plait" before my brain had a chance to step in and over-ride. 
However, it tasted so good I don't regret it for a minute! :)
