Croissant Competition: Part Two
A little artisan boulangerie on the rue Saint Dominique in the 7th arrondissment, this place unfortunately wins the title of worst croissant that I've tried so far in Paris. What looked promising from the outside - golden and flaky - turned out to be flat and lifeless.
This boulangerie would also feature amongst the forerunners for the title of least palatable coffee in Paris if I were to take on that rather unappetising challenge... but I'd rather not take that any further. It does have a couple of redeeming features which I ought to mention for fear that otherwise you'll think I'm in an exceptionally grumpy mood this evening: the fact that it's open so early (around 7am on a Saturday when it's hard to find other places in the area) and the very attractive art-déco interior.
