Merry Christmas everyone! Joyeux Noel à tout le monde! Весёлого Рождества всем!

Wherever you are, whoever you're with, whatever you're drinking,
I hope it's a happy one.

Now, because this is predominantly a wine and food blog, I feel I'd better share what my family and I are drinking this year.

Christmas eve dinner. A trusty Chinon from the Domaine du Roncee, Clos des Marronniers, 2007, Loire. Bought during my parent's last trip to the Loire region (August 2010.) Goes very well with cold cuts and pâté. It's a fairly tasty tipple... but a bit weak and lacking in body and structure, if I'm being brutal.

Christmas morn. We've got a couple of bottles of Innocent Bystander's Pink Moscato, 2009 to start things off. Gorgeously light and fruity. Just like drinking pink lemonade on Mount Olympus... or as Quentin Sadler once said "it's like walking barefoot over rose petals!" Pretentious, us?? :)

Next. All I know is that it's a Chateauneuf-du-Pape.... Will update after the meal, provided I'm not too squiffy!

And finally Chateau Les Sablines, 2006, Monbazillac. Yum! Amazing value!
